When you search for healthy tips to lose weight, you probably stumble across a lot of diets.
Many times these diets have information about how you can lose xxx pounds if you eat this and do that, etc. But what I miss in those articles and books are information about weight loss goal setting and also these questions:
Ask yourself why you want to exercise, workout and eat properly.
What does it do to you doing all those things compared to what you are not doing now?
- Why do you want to eat a weight loss meal?
- What do you get from eating proper healthy food?
- What do you get out of life when you become thin?
When you don’t have the motivation, it is because you don’t get the right emotion for the things you really want to improve in life, and as humans we don’t do anything that we don’t gain something from.
When you don’t feel the emotion you had when you started on changing your life it is because you either forgot why you wanted a change or it isn’t important for you to change your life.
Have a Goal for Changing Your Life
You need realistic weight loss goals otherwise you will have no success no matter what.
Think about it…
How many times have you thought about doing something that you thought could be cool to do, but never did have success following through? You failed because you maybe did have a weight loss goal setting, but the goal wasn’t important to you.
Find a goal which is extreme important to you, so you will do anything to follow it through maybe write it down on a list and use your internal weight loss goal calculator to add and withdraw the good and bad ones (nothing illegal or crazy though). Humans are all alike about our looks but don’t find goals like
“I want to get skinny fast because then I’m sexy.”
Instead find a goal like……
“I’m in love with a guy/girl and if I become thin then I get confidence to be the person I want to be, and I will do anything to get the girl/guy that I’m in love with”.
Can you see the difference between the two?
My suggestion is to have goals into the main purpose. Goals to finally get the primary goal is a damn good pointer to measure if you are on the right track with your quest to succeed, again write it down as a template if that makes things easier and it will also give you a better way of thinking.
If you think a lot, you are automatically going to have a lot of negative thoughts too.
Negative thought are impossible to remove if you just think about stopping them because they will get the upper hand in your brain. They need to be replaced with positive thinking.
You need to think about the things you appreciate in life, the things that make you happy, the things that make you smile.
Feel your emotions when you think about the right things and grab that feeling. Happy feelings make you healthy, and this make everything a lot easier with your weight loss goal setting.
